Skateboard Tricks
Some of the most exciting things to watch in a sporting event are the tricks that professional skateboarders do. While not everyone can be at that advanced level, there are many tricks the amateur intermediate and advanced skateboarders can learn that will, if nothing else, it impresses their friends. Learning the tricks can be fun but it is especially important to know and understand that trick riding can be very dangerous and is highly prone to injury. More people get hurt in skateboarding accidents when attempting tricks than with any other form of skateboarding.
There are several forms of tricks that can be learned. One of the easiest tricks to learn is a simple jump. Then the back wheels are popped up to meet the front. The skateboard continues to walk continuously. This is a flashy maneuver that is easy to accomplish and not terribly dangerous. The front wheels are popped up while pivoting a half turn on the back wheels before the front wheels land. This can be advanced to a complete turn once this is mastered. After some basic turns and holds are learned, the skater can start doing some of the more advanced tricks that involve ramps and rails.
Two Best Skateboard Tricks
By Pauline Stradlen
If you follow my tips below you will learn the two best skateboard tricks that any new skater can learn, they are easy, fun, and your friends will be amazed.
The most important trick that any new skater can learn is the ollie. Stand on your board with your back foot at the very end of the tail, your front foot should be just behind the middle of the board. Slide your front foot forward until it is just over your front truck and lean forward. Keep your balance over the centre of the board and absorb the shock of the landing by bending your knees.
Now that you have mastered the Ollie it is time to move on to more advanced tricks. This time after you hit the tail as hard as you can and jump in the air, you slide your front foot forward but also flick it off the edge of the board and press it down at the same time. If you do this correctly your front foot will make the board spin 360°. Like I said earlier make sure that you keep your knees bent at all times during every trick.
